Terms & conditions for the Star Booking System
1. General
1.1 These Terms and Conditions are valid for the Star online award booking system (hereafter “the Star Booking System”). The Star Booking System allows EuroBonus members to book and purchase Star Alliance award tickets using EuroBonus points. By booking one or several award tickets with the Star Booking System, you confirm that you accept these Terms and Conditions.
1.2 All bookings with the Star Booking System are also subject to EuroBonus Terms and Conditions (please see EuroBonus Terms & Conditions). In case of conflict between these Terms and Conditions and the EuroBonus Terms and Conditions, the provisions of the EuroBonus Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
1.3 Furthermore, separate conditions apply to airline carriage and any promotions which SAS may have from time to time. If you purchase an award ticket for a flight operated by SAS, our General Terms & Conditions and Conditions of Carriage apply to the purchase and flight, respectively. For flights with airlines within Star Alliance other than SAS, the terms and conditions of carriage of the respective airline apply.
2. Booking with the Star booking system
2.1 SAS. The Star Booking System is operated by Scandinavian Airlines System Denmark-Norway-Sweden, a consortium established under the laws of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, and having its principle office at Frösundaviks Allé 1, SE-195 87 Stockholm, Sweden (hereafter "SAS", "us" or "we").
2.2 Booking. The Star Booking System is only available for EuroBonus members. You must be logged in with your EuroBonus account to make an availability search and book award tickets in the Star Booking System. You can view availability and book flights for all flights operated by the airlines that from time to time are members of Star Alliance (hereafter referred to as “Partner Airlines”). You can view availability and book award tickets for flights in Economy class or in Business class in the Star Booking System. If you want to purchase award tickets in First class you need to contact SAS Sales & Service / EuroBonus. Contact information is available on SAS website. Travelling on award tickets are subject to capacity controls by SAS or the relevant Partner Airline. This may limit the number of seats available for travel. Award seats may not be available on all flights or in all classes. Seats can be available for regular purchase even though not available for purchase in the Star Booking System. In addition, some Partner Airlines may impose blackout periods when award redemption is not permitted.
2.3 Payment. Award tickets must be paid with EuroBonus points. The number of points required for the trip is shown in Star Alliance Point Chart available on EuroBonus website.
2.4 Taxes and fees. In addition to the required EuroBonus points you must also pay all applicable taxes, fees and charges for the relevant award trip. Award tickets may be subject to applicable departure taxes; other airport or government handling fees; and any fuel or other surcharges imposed by SAS or any other Partner Airline. Payment for such taxes, fees or charges will be charged separately and cannot be paid with EuroBonus Points. When booking over phone via SAS Sales & Service/EuroBonus a service fee is imposed on the member for award tickets that can be booked in the Star Booking System.
2.5 Delivery. When your booking is finalized all tickets will be delivered as electronic tickets.
